What is a new Powertrain System?
Updated: 4 days ago
Steve is a longtime Seymour's Garage customer. He bought a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado from a friend several years ago and brought it into Seymour's Garage for some regular maintenance. Steve was thinking of selling or trading his truck since it had over 200,000 miles on it already. He talked about options with Seymour's Garage owner, Mark Colaw, and he suggested a "triple transplant" or a new powertrain installation.

With this service, Steve would get a new Jasper engine, Jasper transmission, and rear end differential. It also included engine mounts, transmission mount, new hoses, drive belts, oil, filters, and more. Even better, with this service, Steve would also get a 3 year or 100,000-mile warranty.
If he opted to purchase a new vehicle, the warranty would be significantly less and he would have a much higher payment and expense. He weighed the options and decided that a new powertrain made the most sense, financially. He took the weekend to think about his options and he decided to invest in a new powertrain.
The Powertrain Program is now available to GM products including Tahoe, Yukon, Silverado, Suburban, Denali, and Sierra 1/2 Ton, 2WD vehicles.
