Mark Colaw



A native of San Antonio, Mark has a passion for the automotive industry. He started working for the shop's namesakes, Hastings and Ida Seymour, as one of three people who knew how to run the new diagnostic machines. Mark eventually purchased Seymour's Garage in 1985, and opened the current location in 1988.


Mark is highly involved in his community; as a longtime leader of volunteers with the San Antonio Rodeo, Mark lends his experience, strength, and knowledge to the organization that helps so many youths in the community. He started at the age of 13, volunteering for various organizations, and since then his vision recently brought a team of automotive industry professionals together to create a community event called CarFest. As recently as 2017, CarFest donated more than $100,000 to local trade schools to assist youth in pursuing a career in the automotive world. Mark also serves as a board member at Hidden Springs Youth Ranch, where he donates the land that the youth ranch uses and resources to maintain the facilities.

Matthew Colaw

Service Advisor


Matthew joined the family business eight years ago. Growing up around the shop, he is excited to see the growth and be able to assist customers. Matthew is a native San Antonian married to Anni, and together they have three children. 

In addition to his work at Seymour's, Matthew operates Twelve-Twelve Auto Sales. The next time you are in the market or looking for a specific vehicle, call Matthew. 


Service Advisor

Randy has been with Seymour's for 4 1/2 years as a Service Advisor. He is originally from Wisconsin but has made San Antonio his home for the past eight years. His passion for helping customers combined with his extensive automotive knowledge keeps our clients safe and road-ready! Randy is ASE Certified and loves to stay up to date on the latest technology.



Front Desk / Reception


The first person you will meet when you drop your vehicle off for service or when you call is Melissa. She will greet you with a smile, get your paperwork done, and get you in touch with one of our qualified service advisers.




Tommy has been a fixture at Seymour's since 1993. For nearly 25 years, he has been taking care of San Antonio drivers. He's a hands-on mechanic with an extensive knowledge of a vast array of automobiles. 

When Tommy is not working on cars, you can bet he's probably at a NASCAR race, rooting for his favorite team! Talk about a guy that loves cars! 




We are excited to have Joseph as part of the Seymour’s family, and he has quite the story about how he came to work here!  When Joseph was still in high school, he brought his truck in to Seymour’s Garage for repair. He had always worked on his own truck and really enjoyed it; he loved working with his hands and his head at the same time, and knew then that a desk job was not for him. A while later, he brought his truck into Seymour’s Garage again to have the rear end diagnosed. Mark, owner of Seymour’s, test drove Joseph’s truck that day. Joseph took this opportunity, and time with Mark, to ask some questions about entering the automotive world. Mark told him to “define your direction,” and “go to school, get some experience and come back to see me." Joseph left that day feeling determined. He finished high school, completed his college program, and went to work for a local shop. After getting married, buying a house, and a couple years of working at an automotive shop, he decided it was time to head back to Seymour’s Garage. With resume in hand and no appointment, Mark agreed to meet with the young man in the lobby. Joseph asked Mark if he remembered him and after recounting the story from a few years prior, Mark did! Mark was impressed with Joseph’s drive, determination and skill set and hired him to be part of the Seymour’s family where he has been since - which remind us, when you see him, be sure to congratulate him on his new baby boy!




Silvester started working on cars with his dad in his teenage years. He obtained a certificate at Coastal Bend College in the automotive program and has been working professionally in repair shops for the last fifteen years; at Seymour's for the last five. He is a native from San Antonio and Silvester and his family still call it home!




Jason has been a technician with Seymour's Garage for five years and has over 10 years experience in keeping your vehicle safely on the road. Even when he's not working on cars, his brain is working overdrive as both a tech guru and staying late doing research with owner Mark Colaw. 




RJ has been on the Seymour's team for a year and a half. He has been a great addition to the team. He has a love of cars, especially BMWs! When he's not at Seymour's helping our customers, you can find him working on his project cars or hanging out with his two dogs and cat.




Bill is approaching his 14th year at Seymour's Garage. As a porter, he offers rides to pickup or drop off customers that are having work done on their vehicle. He also helps out around the shop with various tasks.




Hunter is a San Antonio native and currently pursuing an Engineering Degree from UTSA. He is a great addition to the staff at Seymour's and is always ready to help wherever he is needed!


Parts Assistant

Ryan supports the staff at Seymour's by helping with parts and ordering as well as assisting customers.
